Liz’s journey with the violin began at the age of 7, and from the very start, she saw it as a powerful tool for connecting with others. Her dedication to her craft led her to study under the tutelage of esteemed mentors Spiros Rantos and Patricia Pollett at the University of Queensland from 2004 to 2007. In recognition of her exceptional talent, Liz was honored with the prestigious Sleath String Prize in 2007.

As a founding member of Brisbane’s Sanctuary String Quartet, Liz played a pivotal role in performing at iconic venues like Customs House, conducting school Masterclasses, accompanying the Queensland Ballet, and adding a touch of elegance to countless weddings with Pachelbel’s Canon.
Liz’s musical journey took a thrilling turn when she joined the Rock Orchestra Deep Blue, embarking on exhilarating adventures around Australia and the world. Her violin resonated at the Shanghai World Expo and enchanted audiences at corporate and concert events in Vietnam, Malaysia, Jakarta, and India. In 2011, Liz even graced the Finals stage of Australia’s Got Talent, leaving a lasting impression on all.

But Liz’s talents aren’t confined to the classical world alone. She’s a true aficionado of Argentinian Tango Music, specialising in its authentic rendition. Since 2016, Liz has been playing tango music across Australia at festivals and concerts. As a tango dancer herself, she derives immense joy from playing dance music that sets other dancers’ hearts aflutter. On a completely different note, Liz is a vital member of the bush dance band “The Smashing Bumpkins.” Their unique blend of bush dancing to rock covers is a delightful fusion of tradition and contemporary music. In 2018 and 2019, they brought the house down at the annual “Birdsville Races” up in Birdsville, creating unforgettable moments.
